The first step after deciding to build a new house is to determine the location. You need to decide which development fits you best. Based on the location and the style of each development, you need to determine which one is the best fit for you. After deciding on the development or piece of ground, you can start to design and draw your house.
Now that you have decided on which development you will build in, you can start to design your house. You can either bring in a floor plan that you like, or we can show you many different floor plans and you can decide which one you like. After we get that starting floor plan, we will sit down with you and discuss it with you. This is when minor or major changes can be made to the design. After that first meeting, we will redraw your house and schedule another meeting. This is when we can discuss the changes with you and make more if necessary. This process can be, and usually is, repeated many times until you are completely satisfied with the design of your house. After the design is complete, a contract can be signed and the construction of your home can be started.
After the design is complete, true customization of your house can begin. This is where you get to choose all of the styles and features in your home. Some, such as kitchen cabinets, need to be completed before the contract is signed. Others, such as paint color, can wait until the construction is almost complete. Throughout the entire construction process we will continue to work very closely with you. We will advise you on all of the decisions that need to be made and also continuously update you on the progress of the construction. Up to, and even after, completion of your home, we will be glad to work with you and answer any questions that you may have about your home. |
